Its been a busy few months at Light Collections. We have been photographing at so many incredible venues! If you’re looking for a space that has industrial charm with raw, exposed materials, then a Wedding or Corporate Event at The Warehouse Fortitude Valley must be at the top of your list.
The Warehouse, is an amazing functions, events & wedding venue based in Fortitude Valley and is steeped in Brisbane’s history. Its website (https://www.thewarehousebrisbane.com.au/) details its history as being constructed in 1905 and having recently undergone extensive refurbishment. It has multiple spaces including a basement floorspace with mezzanine, as well a beautiful loft space and rooftop terrace and we have photographed both.
There’s just something incredible about this heritage building. It has such a unique industrial charm, and you can tell it must have some amazing stories. We just can’t get enough of the exposed brick walls, steel beams and the high ceilings. The Warehouse, Fortitude Valley offers spaces that are suited to any event you can think of, be it a wedding, corporate conference, or just one huge party!
AdNews Conference at The Warehouse
One of our most recent events at The Warehouse, Fortitude Valley was the Brisbane Amplified Conference for AdNews – Australia’s leading trade brand serving the advertising, marketing and social media industries. They chose the loft space we mentioned earlier which comfortably sat 160 people in an audience-style format. With exposed beams, pendants with exposed globes, and arched windows framing the stage, you can see below, the incredible images we were able to capture.
Function Well Christmas Party at The Warehouse
Another recent shoot for Light Collections, was the 2022 Christmas party for Function Well – Australia’s first and only complete fitness and wellness hub. We love this business and everything it stands for – it is innovative and is a true holistic approach to fitness. They enjoyed the basement floorspace with a DJ, speeches, drinks and canapes for their clients.
Capturing the energy, feeling and atmosphere of an event is one of the most important aspects to photography. The venue and its spaces always play a pivotal role in achieving this, and The Warehouse, Fortitude Valley really came to the party (excuse the pun). The candid shots of guests mingling in front of exposed brick, the rich texture of the signage and fittings, the way the lighting plays off the exposed surface… we are in love.
